Cary Corbitt - Cary C. Corbitt is the Director of the Sports Division and Director of Golf for The Sea Pines Resort.
Cary is a Class A PGA Professional having served as Head Professional at Harbour Town Golf Links, our Ocean and Heron Point Courses as well as our Director of Golf.
He has been recognized by the Carolinas PGA as their Golf Professional of the Year,
1997 as well as recipient of the Carolinas PGA Merchandiser of the Year,
1997 and the Carolinas PGA Bill Strausbaugh/Club Relations Award, 1998.
Cary has also twice received the Golf Professional of the Year Award for the Hilton Head Chapter of the Carolina PGA, 1990 and 1997.
Our golf professional staffs pride themselves on attention to detail and a personal interaction with our guests and our membership.

Rick Barry - Rick Barry has been with the Sea Pines Resort for 20 years, and is currently the head instructor. He has been a member of PGA for over 30 years, been in the Top 100 Teachers by the Golf Magazine for 5 years in a row, and been the Top 10 instructor by the Golf Digest for 10 years.
Rick Barry has appeared on the Golf Channel for several shows, including 'The Turn', 'All About Golf', 'Tips from the Pros' and a Conway Golf Info Commercial. He has contributing writer to Golf Magazine.
According to Rick Barry himself: "My teaching brings me in contact with golfers of all skill levels and backgrounds. To grow the game, my goal is to get people playing and having fun with the game. The learning can be hard for some. I give over 2400 lessons a year and see 17 thousand swings on film, so you can say I have seen it all. Whether you're a Tom Cruise on Tin Cup, or a brand new golfer - I can help you." |

John Farrell - John F. Farrell is the Head Golf Professional at the Harbour Town Golf Links and The Sea Pines Resort.
John has been host Professional for the PGA Tour's Verizon Heritage since 1992.
John is a Class A PGA member since 1988 twice named Merchandiser of the Year Resort Category of the Carolinas PGA Section,
and Multiple year recipient of the Hilton Head Island PGA Chapter Professional of the Year.
In 2007, John was awarded the Tommy Cuthbert Award as the Employee of the Year for the South Carolina Golf Course Owners Association.

Bobby Downs - Bobby Downs is the Staff Golf Professional at The Heron Point and Ocean Golf Courses.
A Class-A member of the PGA Since 1990, Bobby began his career at The Palmetto Dunes Golf Resort in 1984.
He transitioned through head professional positions at both the Fazio and Robert Trent Jones courses,
eventually being named Director of Golf in 2003.
Bobby incorporates his extensive experience in managing resort golf operations in his current position at the Heron Point
and Ocean courses in The Sea Pines Resort.

Ben Hoover - Ben Hoover is the First Assistant Golf Professional at the Harbour Town Golf Links in the Sea Pines Resort.
A Class-A PGA Member since 2006, Ben is a graduate from Methodist University's Professional Golf Management Program
with a degree in Business Administration. Having been employed at several Golf Resorts, including multiple PGA Tour facilities,
Ben brings his experience in Resort Golf Management to his position at Harbour Town Golf Links.

Skip Malek - Skip Malek is the Director of the Golf Academy at The Sea Pines Resort. Skip,
A Class-A Member, is former Carolinas Teacher of the Year and Horton Smith Award winner for excellence in education.
He is a three-time nominee for Top 100 teachers in the United States and has been ranked in the Top 10 teachers in the Carolinas.
