Born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa, Mark Goodwin attended Harper Adams University (Manchester, England) where he began working on a bachelor's degree in Golf Course Management and Design until 1999 when a golf internship at Ohio State University brought him to the U.S. After completing his internship, Mark returned to England to complete his degree. Following graduation, Mark ventured back to the U.S. to begin his career in the hospitality industry.
His years of successful professional experience include managerial positions with the Crowne Plaza Hilton Head Island Beach Resort - Priority Meeting Sales Manager, the Heritage Golf Group (Hilton Head Island) - Tournament Sales Director, the Hilton Oceanfront Resort & Spa (Hilton Head Island) - National Sales Manager and, most recently, the Hilton Savannah DeSoto - Senior Sales Manager.
Mark considers himself an exceptionally motivated individual who is proud to put his strong communication, leadership and problem solving skills, as well as an outstanding knowledge of hospitality and golf sales, toward delivering the kind of world-class service discerning clients expect and deserve.
Married for nearly eight years, Mark and wife Kristi share a daughter, Cameron Brooke, and a son, Jenson Windsor.
In addition to golf, Mark enjoys running, offshore fishing and spending time with his family. He looks forward to helping you successfully plan your next meeting or outing.
Chris Beck
Director of Golf Sales
Specializing in corporate golf events and social golf outings
Born in Boston, Chris grew up in Chicago and The Champlain Valley of Vermont. He has always been a sports enthusiast and is interested in hunting, fishing, skiing and golf, as well as watching his beloved Pittsburgh Steelers every fall.
In 1985, Chris graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelor of Science in Resort and Recreation Management. After a 16-month stint as Assistant Golf Professional at The Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes, Vermont, Chris moved to Charleston, South Carolina to serve in a similar position at The Country Club of Charleston. Chris later accepted a position with The Benchmark Management Company as Sports Sales Manager at The Seabrook Island Resort.
In the summer of 1988, Chris accepted a Sports Sales and Marketing Manager position with The Cottages Resort on Hilton Head Island. He joined The Sea Pines Resort as National Sales Manager in 1992. In April of 2008, Chris was promoted to Director of Golf Sales and currently assists more than 200 groups and 3,000 golfers with 13,000 rounds of golf each year.
Chris and wife Jennifer have been married for 24 years and have raised their four children - Taylor (18), Curtis (16), Emily (14) and Tessa (8) - on Hilton Head Island.

Courtenay Casson

A native of Peru, NY, Courtenay Casson attended State University of New York at Plattsburgh where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Hotel, Restaurant & Tourism Management and graduated cum laude.
Prior to joining The Sea Pines Resort, Courtenay was with the Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa where she garnered more than 10 years of experience in various positions including Convention Services Assistant, Convention Services Manager and, most recently, Sales Manager.
In addition to maintaining an active membership in the South Carolina Society of Association Executives (SCSAE), Courtenay has received a number of accolades for her outstanding performance and contribution: "Experience Engineer" (Coach of the Quarter, 4Q 2007 & 2010), Starwood Platinum Incentive Winner (2007), Starwood North America Gold Sales Award (2004) and Convention Services Associate of the Month (2002 & 2003).
As residents of Hilton Head Island, Courtenay and husband Josh enjoy boating and a variety of sports.
