The Sea Pines Resort Eco Tours - A Premier Hilton Head Nature Experience
Carved from a magnificent expanse of oceanfront land and maritime forest, The Sea Pines
Resort abounds with natural wonders. Our pristine 605-acre forest preserve, miles
of beach, tranquil lagoons, salt marshes and winding tidal creeks provide a spectacular

- Alligator Boat Tour (Daily, Please call H2O Sports for schedule: 843.686.5323.) Join us for a 1-hour, expert-guided tour of the pristine freshwater lakes of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. Enjoy an up-close view of Hilton Head's unique plant and animal life, including the American alligator, from aboard electric boats that are safe, fun and offer great photo opportunities.
- Kayaking Tours/Rentals (Daily, Please call H2O Sports for schedule: 843.671.4386.) Kayak the calm, beautiful waters of Calibogue Sound and Broad Creek, as you observe otters, manatees, minks, dolphins and a variety of bird species in their natural habitat. Equipment and a paddling clinic is included with our 1 1/2-hour expert-guided tours — experience is not required. Our easy-to-paddle single and double kayaks are also available for rent.
- Stoney-Baynard Ruins Tour (Mondays, 10 - 11:30 a. m.) Enjoy a truly unique experience by
exploring the ruins of our 18th century plantation house. Walk the grounds of an area that has
been untouched for hundreds of years as you hear fascinating stories regarding the history and plantation
life on Hilton Head Island.
- Sea Pines Forest Preserve Walking Tours
(Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10 - 11:30 a.m.) Visit the remains of a 4,000-year-old Indian village at
the sacred Indian Shell Ring within The Sea Pines Resort Forest Preserve. Search for birds and animals hidden among the trees as you listen
to the stories regarding this historic area.
(Thursdays, 10 - 11:30 a.m.) Follow the marsh boardwalks deep into the Old Lawton Rice Field. Explore
our swamps and observe turtles, lizards and alligators as you learn about plantation life during
the 18th century.
- Bicycle Tours (Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.) Embark on a leisurely tour to enjoy the beautiful
scenery and charming personality of The Sea Pines Resort. From horses and birds to palms and Spanish
moss, you'll encounter unique wildlife indigenous toThe Sea Pines Resort at Lawton Stables, the Forest Preserve,
Heritage Farm, the Stoney-Baynard Ruins and beyond.
- Forest Preserve Wagon Ride (Thursdays 4 - 5:00 p.m.) Sit back, relax and experience the
unique wildlife of The Sea Pines Resort Forest Preserve with our experienced guide. We'll
search for turtles, alligators, birds and other critters as we ride past Heritage Farm, Lake Joe,
Fish Island and beyond.
- Beach Discovery Tour (Fridays 10 - 11:30 a.m.) Stroll along the sandy shoreline of South
Beach to experience the fun and beauty of our Carolina coast. Watch for dolphins and search for starfish
and sand dollars, while collecting seashells and other treasures along the way. Schedules vary with the tide.
