H2O Nature Center
Daily, 9am-3pm
Located next to Harbour Town Bakery & Café, the Nature Center is a must-visit site for families, nature gurus, avid outdoor adventurers, historians and animal lovers. Guests can learn about various nature and history tours available in Sea Pines, browse our variety of gifts & apparel, or rent a bicycle. Turtles, snakes, fish, lizards and American alligators are among the animals on display for visitors to view up close. 843.686.5323

Discovering Reptiles
Tuesdays, March 6, April 3, May 1; 3-4pm
Meet at the H2O Nature Center in Harbour Town and get up-close and personal with our local wildlife. Enjoy a hands-on experience with the center's resident reptiles, while learning about their lifestyles and habitats from our master naturalist. Reservations are required and may be made by contacting the Nature Center. 843.686.5323. $10/person

Alligator & Wildlife Tour
Daily, 8am-7pm
Enjoy a one-hour guided tour through the freshwater lakes of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve and an up-close view of Hilton Head Island's indigenous plant and animal life, including the American alligator. Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Nature Center. 843.686.5323. $22/adult, $19/child (ages 12 & younger).

Alligator Wine & Cheese
Daily; time varies, based on sunset.
Enjoy a sunset cruise on the freshwater lakes of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve and discover indigenous plants and animals, while enjoying complimentary wine and cheese. Reservations are required and may be made by calling the Nature Center. 843.686.5323. Adults only. $45/person.

Kayak Tours
Daily. Please call for schedule.
Kayak with dolphins in the calm waters of Calibogue Sound and Broad Creek. We may also see egrets, herons, ospreys, bald eagles, river otters and manatees as we paddle. Experience is not necessary for adults and children to enjoy this one-and-a-half-hour guided tour in the natural surroundings of area wildlife. A paddling clinic is included with each tour, as are life jackets and paddles. Our single and double kayaks are stable and easy to paddle. 843.671.4386

Enviro Tour
Explore Calibogue Sound and surrounding waterways during an Enviro Tour! Discover Atlantic bottlenose dolphin, sea turtles, eagles, and other marine wildlife in their natural habitat. Venture over to Daufuskie Island and take a step back in time. Comb the beach for shells, or relax and take in the beauty of a Lowcountry sunset, while touring the salt marshes and tidal creeks. Lowcountry Plantation Exploration
Mondays; 10-11am
Get a truly unique experience by exploring the ruins of our 18th century plantation house. Walk the grounds of an area that has been untouched for hundreds of years and listen to stories regarding the history and plantation life on Hilton Head Island in The Sea Pines Resort. Prehistoric Indian Exploration
Tuesdays; 10-11:30am
Visit the remains of Hilton Head Island's indigenous Indians. View a 4,000-year-old sacred Indian Shell Ring. Search for birds and animals, hidden among the trees, as you listen to stories regarding this historic area. Reservations are required and may be made by calling The Sea Pines Resort Recreation Department. 843.842.1979. $15/adult, $10/child (ages 12 & younger).

Shore Explore
Wednesdays & Fridays; 10-11:30am
Stroll along the sandy shoreline of South Beach and experience the fun and beauty of our South Carolina coast. Search for dolphins, starfish and sand dollars, while learning about shells and other sea treasures.

The Trail of Carolina Gold
Thursdays & Saturdays; 10-11:30am
Discover the hidden treasures of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve, walking marsh boardwalks over the old Lawton Rice Field. Look for turtles, lizards and alligators, while learning about plantation life during the 18th century. Reservations are required and may be made by calling The Sea Pines Resort Recreation Department. 843.842.1979. $15/adult, $10/child (ages 12 & younger).

Forest Preserve Wagon Journey
Thursdays; 4-5:30pm
Sit back, relax and experience the animals and plant life of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. We'll search for turtles, alligators, birds and other critters as we ride past Heritage Farm, Lake Joe, Fish Island and more. Reservations are required and may be made by calling The Sea Pines Resort Recreation Department. 843.842.1979. $18/adult, $12/child (ages 12 & younger).

Full Moon Shore Explore
Friday, May 4, 8:30-10pm
Discover our Hilton Head Island beaches under a full moon after dark. Search for ghost crabs and sea turtles, while learning about the nocturnal life that scurries throughout our dune and surf systems. Flashlights are available if needed. Reservations are required and may be made by calling The Sea Pines Resort Recreation Department. 843.842.1979. $15/adult, $10/child

Family Welcome Wagon Ride
Sunday, May 27; 4-5pm & 5-6pm
Explore some of the sights and sounds of the beautiful Sea Pines Forest Preserve aboard our old-fashioned wagon. We'll search for alligators, turtles and birds. This will also be a great time to learn about the numerous other nature and family activities taking place at The Sea Pines Resort. The Lowcountry at Dark
Wednesday, May 30; 8:30-10pm
Learn about what goes bump in the night by experiencing the Sea Pines Forest Preserve after dark. The only way into the preserve after hours, this wagon ride provides guests with a unique opportunity to experience its personality under the stars as we search out the American alligator. Reservations are required and may be made by calling The Sea Pines Resort Recreation Department. 843.842.1979.
