The Sea Pines Resort Ecotours - A Premier Hilton Head Nature Experience
Carved from a magnificent sweep of oceanfront land and maritime forest, The Sea Pines
Resort is a place filled with natural wonders. Our pristine 605 forest preserve, miles
of beached, tranquil lagoons, salt marshes and winding tidal creeks provide a spectacular

- Alligator Boat Tour (Daily, Please call for schedule.) On the inland freshwater lakes of
The Sea Pines Resort Forest Preserve, come aboard our jungle safari boat to get a close-up view
of the abundant plant and animal life of The Sea Pines Resort. Search for the American alligator
and learn about our unique and exciting animals.
- Kayaking Tours/Rentals (Daily, Please call for schedule.) Enjoy the longest stretch of calm,
protected waterways the island has to offer. Professional guides instruct in kayak handling skills
and discuss our unique ecosystem. Watch otters, manatees, minks and a number of different bird
species in their natural habitat. Playful dolphins are abundant and encounters are common.
Tours: Trip times vary and are tide dependent.
- Kayak Fishing Expedition (Daily, please call for schedule.) This is a private tour that
accommodates up to three guests. Professional guides use several techniques to target a
variety of game fish depending on the season. Your expedition will be tailored to suit the
desires and needs of your group and may lead you to a secret spot targeting cobia and tarpon.
For the more adventurous, guides travel to a remote area for spot tail bass and sea trout.
But rest assured, amenities are never far away, and you will be fishing moments after your
tour begins. All-inclusive three and a half hour private tour. Reservations required. 24-hour
cancellation policy. No experience necessary. Children of all ages may participate.
- Stoney-Baynard Ruins Tour (Mondays, 10 - 11:30a. m.) Get a truly unique experience by
exploring the ruins of our 18th century plantation house. Walk the grounds of an area that has
been untouched for hundreds of years and listen to stories about the history and plantation
life on Hilton Head Island.
- Forest Preserve Walking Tours
(Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10 - 11:30 a.m.) Visit the remains of a 4,000 year old Indian village at
the sacred Indian Shell Ring. Search for birds and animals hidden amongst the trees as you listen
to the stories behind the historic area.
(Thursdays, 10 - 11:30a.m.) Follow the marsh boardwalks deep into the Old Lawton Rice Field. Explore
our swamps and watch the turtles, lizards and alligators as you hear about plantation life during
the 18th century
- Bicycle Tours (Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.) Embark on a leisurely tour to enjoy the beautiful
scenery and charming personality of The Sea Pines Resort. From horses and birds to palms and Spanish
moss, we encounter many unique aspects of The Sea Pines Resort at Lawton Stables, the Forest Preserve,
Heritage Farm, the Stoney-Baynard Ruins and more.
- Forest Preserve Hayride (Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. - 5:30 p.m.) Sit back, relax and experience the
animals and plant life of The Sea Pines Resort Forest Preserve with our experienced guide. We'll
search for turtles, alligators, birds and other critters as we ride past Heritage Farm, Lake Joe,
Fish Island and more.
- Beach Discovery Tour (Fridays, 10:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.) Stroll along the sandy shoreline of South
Beach to experience the fun and beauty of our Carolina coast. Watch for dolphins and search for starfish
and sand dollars while collecting seashells and other treasures along the way. Schedules vary with the tide.
