JUNIOR TENNIS INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS

The Sea Pines Resort's top-rated junior programs offer the best of our adult instruction to the younger set - with special focus on good sportsmanship and the development of skills that will last a lifetime. Junior programs are offered March and April, and Memorial Day through Labor Day.
- The RBC Heritage 2012 Schedule (April 9 - 15)
The Sea Pines Racquet Club will run all tennis programs and events during the week of the RBC Heritage (April 9-15), with the exception of our Monday night playing exhibition. From April 9 - 15, we will also provide shuttle service from the Plantation Club to the racquet club.
Pro shop hours during the RBC Heritage are as follows: 7:45am - 5:30pm. Please call 843.363.4495 for additional information.
- Junior Stroke of the Day. A perfect morning program for beginner to intermediate players (9 to 14 years old), focusing on the proper techniques of a stroke. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.; $27 per day / $119 per week.
- Volley: Monday
- Forehand: Tuesday
- Backhand: Wednesday
- Serve: Thursday
- Specialty Shots: Friday
*Please note that during the week of April 2-6 (week preceding the RBC Heritage), the Junior Stroke and Junior Drill program will run twice per day: Session I from 8 - 10am & Session II from 10am - 12pm.
- Junior Daily Drills. Designed for beginner to intermediate players (9 to 14 years old), the Daily Drills places you in a variety of play-type situations, with emphasis on particular strokes taught in the Stroke of the Day. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; $27 per day / $119 per week.
*Please note that during the week of April 2-6 (week preceding the RBC Heritage), the Junior Stroke and Junior Drill program will run twice per day: Session I from 8 - 10am & Session II from 10am - 12pm.
- Junior Daily Double. Combine the Stroke of the Day and Daily Drills and save! Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; $49 per day / $224 per week.
- Junior Challenger. Designed for intermediate to high-school level (11 to 16 years old), this program focuses on learning the tools necessary to achieve a more advanced level of play - including spins, footwork, strategies, and tactics. Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; $49 per day / $224 per week.
- Junior Masters. While ranked tournament-level players are recommended to participate in the Smith-Stearns Academy, this program provides a less intensive alternative for players up to 16 years old. The program concentrates on competitive skills required to excel on the junior circuit. Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; $49 per day / $224 per week.
- Smith-Stearns Tennis Academy. Stan Smith has partnered with internationally recognized professional and junior coach, Billy Stearns, in creating a tennis academy truly designed for individual junior player development. The goal of this visionary institution is to create an environment that is conducive to helping dedicated young players reach their ultimate potential - both on and off the court.
