Specials Tennis Programs & Events
- Performance Corner. Get a complimentary racquet evaluation from our Certified Racquet Technician.
- Complimentary Demo. Try out all of the hottest new racquets and latest technology from our pro shop's collection of demo production - hosted on Tuesdays from 11:15 a.m. to noon during the spring and summer.
- Special Court Privileges and Reduced Rates. In addition to two hours of complimentary tennis per day, registered guests of The Sea Pines Resort are invited to take advantage of additional court time at the following reduced rates: $20 / hour with reservations, and free as a walk-on without reservations. All court times are based on availability, and may not be open during tournaments and special events.
- Pro Exhibition and Happy Hour. Join us for exciting pro-action valuable tips, refreshments, prize drawings, and our traditional fishbowl sale. Sponsored by the Sea Pines Real Estate Company, Prince, Adidas and Wilson, this lively event is featured every Monday at 5:30 p.m. from March 1 to August 30.

Back to Basics: Stroke and Drill
A specific stroke taught daily with emphasis on the breakdown of the stroke in the first hour and drills and moving in the second hour.

- Stroke of the Day. A perfect program for beginner to intermediate players, focusing on sound stroke production. Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 10 a.m.; $27 per day / $114 per week.

- Daily Drills. Designed for beginner to intermediate players, the Daily Drills places you in a variety of play-type situations, with emphasis on particular strokes taught in the Stroke of the Day. Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.; $27 per day / $114 per week.
- Daily Double. Combine the Stroke of the Day and Daily Drills and save! Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.; $47 per day / $219 per week.
- Grand Slam. Engage in fast-paced drills for the advanced competitor (NTRP 4.0 and up). Each day focuses on a different topic. Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; $47 per day / $219 per week.
- Stan Smith Tennis Academy. Designed for intermediate to advanced (NTRP 3.0 and up), the Stan Smith Tennis Academy flagship program is a comprehensive 12-hour program, focusing on all aspects of play - from stroke production to "how-to" structured practice sessions, including singles and doubles strategy and tactics, with a 4:1 maximum student-to-pro ratio. Each participant receives a Sea Pines Tennis T-shirt and Stan Smith's Winning Doubles book. Tuesday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon; $321 for four days.
- Stan Smith Weekend Workout. Intended for intermediate to advanced players (NTRP 3.0 and up), this six-hour instructional program is designed to strengthen strokes and tactics in your doubles game. Saturday focuses on the "tools" needed for quality play, while Sunday focuses on the tactics needed for winning - with a maximum 6:1 student-to-pro ratio. Saturday and Sunday, 9 a.m. to noon; $67 per day / $119 per weekend.
- Personal Lessons. Refine your skills through intensive instruction with our tennis director or a staff pro.
- Private Hour: $89 with the tennis director / head pro; $66 with a staff pro.
- Private Half-Hour: $48 with the tennis director / head pro; $38 with a staff pro.
- Semi-Private Hour: $105 with the tennis director / head pro; $76 with a staff pro.
- Semi-Private Half-Hour: $55 with the tennis director / head pro; $41 with a staff pro.
- Lesson Series. Benefit from the sustained instruction of five lessons - held with our director of tennis or a staff pro.

- Sea Pines Round Robin. NTRP 3.0 and up. Take to the courts for a fun, social round robin - where lemonade is provided, and prizes are awarded to the winners. Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. $19 per person
- Competitive Round Robin. NTRP 4.0 and up. Enjoy intensive play, designed for advanced players looking for good competition - with a social following play. Tuesday and Thursday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; $19 per person.
Children's Tennis Programs ("Little Tennis," for Ages 4 to 8)
Introduce your child to the game of tennis with one of our award-winning programs - available March, April, and June through August. Focus is placed on hand / eye coordination, basic skills, movement, and lots of fun.

The Sea Pines Resort's top-rated junior programs offer the best of our adult instruction to the younger set - with special focus on good sportsmanship and the development of skills that will last a lifetime. Junior programs are offered March and April, and Memorial Day through Labor Day.

- Junior Masters. While ranked tournament-level players are recommended to participate in the Smith-Stearns Academy, this program provides a less intensive alternative for players up to 16 years old. The program concentrates on competitive skills required to excel on the junior circuit. Monday through Friday, 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.; $47 per day / $219 per week.
- Smith-Stearns Tennis Academy. Stan Smith has partnered with internationally recognized professional and junior coach, Billy Stearns, in creating a tennis academy truly designed for individual junior player development. The goal of this visionary institution is to create an environment that is conducive to helping dedicated young players reach their ultimate potential - both on and off the court.
