Even before the sweeping oceanfront views are revealed from the back of this special South Beach home, it is love at first sight upon arrival at this Georgian-style home with its columns, dark shutters, and Savannah brick front porch with rocking chairs.

Basking in its oceanfront locale, this home has a casual elegance, bringing a breezy beach atmosphere inside.

The lower floor houses three bedrooms; the first of which is a nautically-themed room with queen-sized bed, flat screen TV, seagrass flooring, tray ceilings, a day bed with trundle and a private bathroom. In sage, tan and rose, the next bedroom features a king-sized bed, TV, seagrass flooring and private bath with double vanity. And finally, the third downstairs bedroom has an island-feel to it with two queen-sized beds, a flat screen TV with DVR, and private bath with combination tub/shower and double vanity.

Adjacent to the bedrooms is a glass-enclosed Carolina room, which leads directly to the beach and private pool (which may be heated for an additional charge) and hot tub. With slate flooring and comfortable seating, the Carolina room has ceiling fans and an additional day bed with trundle. Also downstairs is a luxe executive den with oak-paneled walls, a sleeper sofa, plus TV, VCR/DVD. There is also a downstairs washer and dryer.

Up the bleached wood panel stairs is the main floor of the home, with magnificent and unobstructed ocean views. With touches of wicker and subtle florals, the living room has a distinct beachside personality with tray ceilings, hardwood floors and a flat screen TV. The living room flows into the open, white-on-white kitchen, featuring bleached plank wood floors, vaulted ceilings, a skylight plus double oven and flat cooktop. French doors from the kitchen lead to the home’s front veranda. Adjacent to the kitchen is a lovely dining area which seats six. Vacation necessities such as an ice maker, blender, and Cuisinart individual-cup coffee maker are all featured in a separate wet bar area.

For dining to the sounds of the ocean and feel of seabreezes wafting inside, there is an upper level Carolina room with an expansive view of the Atlantic, with a dining table that seats ten. This room easily accesses the pool and beach from an outside staircase.

There are two luxurious bedrooms upstairs. With soaring high ceilings, the master houses a king-sized bed, flat screen TV with DVR, plantation shutters, and cottage-wood walls, all which open to the Carolina room through shuttered glass doors, revealing the ocean view beyond. Beyond his-and-her closets is the room’s private bath with stone-surrounded whirlpool, glass door enclosed shower and marble double vanity.

In slate blue with hints of yellow, the second upstairs bedroom could be considered a master as well with king-sized bed, high ceilings, spacious closets and a private bath featuring combination tub/shower. This bedroom also enjoys incredible oceanfront views.

The beach is easily reached via your own private boardwalk, and there is an additional wooden deck with Adirondack seating atop the dunes for dolphin-watching. This is a truly special vacation home, simply perfect for that oft-dreamed of seaside escape.
