GENERAL CATERING INFORMATION
Thank you for considering The Sea Pines Resort to host your upcoming wedding. We graciously anticipate providing you with our outstanding hospitality, food and service. Our expert wedding specialists are at your service to assist you in planning all arrangements for your special event— from determining your culinary selections and venue décor to finding the perfect photographer and entertainment for all to enjoy.
Food & Beverage Service Policies
All food served at The Sea Pines Resort must be provided by the resort. The sale and service of all alcoholic beverages are regulated by the state of South Carolina and The Sea Pines Resort is responsible for the administration of these regulations. The attached pages reflect a sampling of our wedding packages. Additional or custom menus for any of your events are available upon request. All food and beverage menu planning, room set-ups and other pertinent details must be arranged at least 30 days in advance with your wedding specialist. Due to market conditions, menu prices may vary until confirmed in writing.
Guarantees
Your wedding specialist must be notified of the exact number of guests attending your function at least
72 business hours prior to your event. This number will be considered the guarantee for which you will be charged, even if fewer guests attend. The Sea Pines Resort will prepare for 5% over the guaranteed number. If the guarantee is increased within 24 hours of the function, The Sea Pines Resort will reserve
the right to substitute entrées for the additional
guests. You will be charged for the number of guests guaranteed, or the number actually served—whichever is higher.
Event Venues
The Sea Pines Resort reserves the right to re-allocate space in the following cases: increase or decrease
in attendance, mechanical failures or accessibility for service. Decorations that a guest wishes to bring into the facility must be approved by the wedding specialist prior to arrival.
Seating/Linens/Decorations
Round tables accommodating 8, 9 or 10 guests each are the standard for evening functions in The Sea Pines Resort’s banquet rooms. Other table arrangements are available when equipment and space permits, in which instance a rental and/or service fee may apply. The Sea Pines Resort has 50 gold chiavari chairs available for $10++ each and additional rented chiavari chairs available for $13++ each; standard chair covers and ties are $8++ each. The Sea Pines Resort can provide a variety of quality linens. Your wedding specialist will be happy to assist you with specialty linens, florals and other décor.
A 23% service fee will apply to any outside vendor purchases/rentals billed through the resort. Please consult with your wedding specialist in advance regarding all decorations. In order to prevent damage to the resort’s fixtures or furnishings, no items/décor may be attached to any wall, floor, ceiling or window with nails, staples, tape or any other substance. Due to local ordinances and fire department regulations, sparklers, firecrackers and fireworks are not permitted within The Sea Pines Resort.
Timing of Events
In order to provide the finest service to your group,
it is important that The Sea Pines Resort be made aware of all function time changes that your group may have. Note that all functions will be set 15 minutes prior to their stated time. A service charge will apply
for all functions starting prior to 7 am or ending after midnight.
