This is a truly special home, destined for a select few
to enjoy. 19 Windjammer Court has the distinction of being the “Heritage
House,” which, as the name implies, is home base for PGA TOUR professionals,
Heritage Classic Foundation Board members and the elite Tartan Club members to
relax and entertain during the RBC Heritage golf tournament. Adorned with
memorabilia from past tournaments, this residence is uniquely Hilton Head
Island, uniquely Sea Pines….more so perhaps than any other vacation address.
Just steps away from the famed Harbour Town Golf Links
Clubhouse, the Heritage House is situated astride the 10th tee. This
golf-hallowed home combines luxurious furnishings and appointments with the
time-honored tradition of the RBC Heritage.
The living room, suitably identified as the “Champions
Room,” showcases framed photographs of all of the tournament’s former winners,
donning their tartan jackets from 1969 to today. Viewing the deck and the
verdant Links beyond, the room features plush seating including a muted red
brushed cotton sofa and a 72” wall-mounted flat screen TV with Dolby sound, a
DVR, stereo, internet access, Blu-ray and docking station. Architectural
touches in the room are equally impressive, with a vaulted ceiling,
butterscotch-hued wainscoting and oil-rubbed bronze sconces and chandelier.
Glass doors reveal the extensive back deck that is only
feet from the golf course. The deck has plenty of space for gathering a large
group, with two dining tables, a wraparound bench, and additional seating under
the shade of a gazebo. Around the side of the deck is a covered
entertainment/bar prep area featuring a stainless steel Hoshizaki ice maker,
ceiling fan, granite countertop and large utility sink.
Stylishly appointed with taupe and tan granite
countertops and saturnia tile flooring, the home’s kitchen also provides a
wonderful haven for entertaining, enviably outfitted with top-of-the-line
appliances including two side by side SubZero refrigerators and a Wolf stainless
steel gas stove. An adjacent butler’s pantry holds an industrial-sized utility
sink and stacked Bosch washer and dryer. Neighboring the kitchen, the dining
area seats six at its generously-sized oval table of gleaming dark wood.
Another haven for relaxation is the luxuriously
traditional “Fraser Room,” aptly named in recognition of the legendary Charles
E. Fraser, the founding father of the Sea Pines Resort and, his brother, Joseph
B. Fraser, founder and former Chairman of the Heritage Classic Foundation. From
the start, the Frasers understood that a major PGA TOUR tournament would help
put the Hilton Head Island on the map. This home’s richly appointed Fraser Room
holds mementos of the tournament’s earliest beginnings and its growing legacy
since.
With hardwood floors, the room features a U-shaped
espresso, nail-head leather sofa, a wall-mounted flat screen TV, vaulted
ceiling and ceiling fan and sweeping views of the Harbour Town Golf Links.
Also on the first level is a lovely guest bedroom, offering
two double sized beds covered by spreads of soft, seaside hues, plus plantation
shutters, and a ceiling fan. A beautiful, antiqued verdigris armoire houses a
flat screen TV and DVR. Its honey-toned private bath features a gorgeous matte
stone double vanity, saturnia tile flooring and a roomy glass door stone
shower.
