The Sea Pines Resort is the proud home of the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy, dedicated to the individual development of advanced junior players. It’s led by former No. 1 player in the world Stan Smith and academy director B.J. Stearns, a former top nationally and internationally ranked player.
The Tennis Academy prides itself on its world-class coaching staff, family-style atmosphere and ability to tailor programs to a student's individual needs. Our comprehensive training is designed to help you improve your skills, prepare for tournaments and boost your college application.

Year-round Tennis Camps on Hilton Head Island
Our year-round and holiday camps run in conjunction with the full-time academy, allowing you to immerse yourself in the complete Smith Stearns experience. With instruction available for players of all levels on a daily, weekly or monthly basis, it’s up to you to choose the amount of training you want to receive at the academy.

The full-time academy is designed to prepare athletes for the highest level of competition in both collegiate and professional tennis. With a strong focus on individual junior player development, we take a personal approach to meet each player’s training and fitness needs.
Students from all over the world come to the Smith Stearns Tennis Academy on Hilton Head Island to train with our world-class coaches and be a part of the academy experience.
