Carved from a magnificent expanse of oceanfront land and maritime forest, The Sea Pines Resort abounds with natural wonders. Our pristine 605-acre forest preserve, miles of unspoiled beach, tranquil lagoons, salt marshes and winding tidal creeks provide a spectacular open-air classroom for our award-winning Eco-Adventures.

Forest Preserve Wagon Journey

Mondays, 5-6pm and 6:30-7:30pm | $16/adult, $13/child (ages 12 & younger)

Sit back, relax, and experience the animals and plant life of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. We'll search for turtles, alligators, birds, and other critters as we ride past Heritage Farm, Lake Joe, Fish Island, and more.

Full Moon Shore Explore

June 28, July 26 and August 27; 8:30-9:30pm

Discover our beaches under a full moon. Search for ghost crabs and other sea creatures, scurrying throughout our dunes and surf systems.

Nature at Night

Thursdays, 8:30-9:30pm

Take a wagon ride after dark through Sea Pines Forest Preserve. Discover the personality of our nocturnal wildlife and learn about the legends of Sea Pines.

Geocaching

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Sea Pines and discover your adventurous side through geocaching! Geocaching is a real-world treasure hunting game where you'll follow clues to find hidden items at our popular sights. Share your pictures on Instagram and tag @theseapinesresort.

Dolphin Tours

Explore the Calibogue Sound and surrounding waterways by boat during a Dolphin Tour! Discover Atlantic bottlenose dolphins, a variety of shore birds and other marine wildlife in their natural habitat. Venture over to Daufuskie Island to relax and take in the beauty of the Lowcountry, while touring the salt marshes and tidal creeks. Whatever adventure you choose, it's bound to be one that's fun for all ages.

Alligator & Wildlife Boat Tour

$29/adult, $20/child (ages 12 & younger)

Enjoy a one-hour guided boat tour through the freshwater lakes of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve and get an up-close view of Hilton Head Island's indigenous plant and animal life, including the American alligator.

Alligator Wine & Cheese Boat Tour

Adults only. $49/person.

Enjoy a sunset cruise on the freshwater lakes of the Sea Pines Forest Preserve and discover indigenous plants and animals, while enjoying complimentary wine and cheese.

Sea Pines History Tours

This two-hour tour chronicles the significant role Sea Pines has played in local and national history. Learn about the Sea Pines shell ring created by pre-historic hunters and gatherers, the early explorers and pirates who navigated through the area's inlets and creeks, the Revolutionary War scout station, Confederate and Union artillery positions in the Civil War and the stie of the first environmentally sensitive resort in the world.

Hilton Head Island Tour

Learn about the unparalleled richness and history of Hilton Head Island and the surrounding area while visiting sites unavailable to the general public. Tours vary from approximately 3-3.5 hours depending on the sites selected.

Stoney-Baynard Ruins and Zion Chapel of Ease Cemetery Tour

Visit the sites of the two oldest structures on Hilton Head – the remnants of the Stoney-Baynard manor house in Sea Pines and the Zion Chapel of Ease Cemetery located mid-island. Discover the stories of early settlers and plantation owners who opened island land to cultivation in the 1700's and made it a thriving source of cash crops prior to the Civil War. Tour is approximately 2.5 hours long.
